Programming Overview for ACE1000 Codesys IEC61131 3 by Dorit Kliger (28 min)
The ACE1000 makes use of CodeSys developping platform to code the IEC logic.
- Download & Install the latest version of CodeSys from the Codesys Online store (free of charge)
- Install the CodeSys add-ons (above download button).
- Ensure that the CodeSys feature is activated on the ACE1000. Run the diagnostic tools to see if the feature is active.
- Run the CodeSys Control process on the ACE1000. The ACE1000 should be visible from the CodeSys environment.

COmpatible radios types
The APX™ and MOTOTRBO™ radios are connected to the USB OTG port. The TETRA radio and the modems are connected to an RS232 port. For information on configuring CPU ports for various radios/modems, see the ACE1000 Easy Configurator User Guide.
All the radios listed below are external radios and should be operated according to their specifications. For complete radio specifications such as modulations, standards, Tx power output, Rx sensitivity, supply voltage, and power consumption, see the specific radio owner’s manual.
Note that the XPR 5350, APX 4000, and APX 6500 radios can work as conventional analog radios or as digital radios. ACE1000 supports digital mode only.
